Varanasi
In order to better understand the spirituality of Varanasi, we go
shopping for silks. At first sight it may sound like a trivial
assignment. Alas, it is a long, exhausting process, both physically
and mentally. This picture is taken after this horrifying experience is
over. Panayiotis is evidently on the verge of collapsing, after four
hours of intense shopping.
During our stay in Varanasi we also meet a local of Greek origin. His
name is Nick, and has been living there for the past several years.
He finds that the spirituality of the place brings balance to his
tormented soul. This picture clearly depicts Nick and me in a state of
enlightment: we both radiate light from within our heads.
